shutterstock_251497315-cropIn a deal that is making news across Israel, Sichuan Hebang Corp. will acquire control of Israeli-based Stockton, a private company in the agrochemical industry known for its environmentally-friendly, vegetable extract-based pesticide. The deal, pursuant to which Hebang will acquire a 51 percent interest in Stockton for $91 million, is the company’s first investment outside of China. , a shareholder in the Government Law & Policy and Israel practices at the Miami office of Greenberg Traurig, will serve as co-chair for the Entrepreneurs on Tap program – a series of quarterly meetings presented by the American Friends of Tel Aviv University.

The first meeting was held this week in conjunction with eMerge Americas 2015 Conference in Miami Beach, for which Greenberg Traurig is a founding sponsor. The next meeting will be in September, although a date and location have not been set. Check back here later this summer for details.
