GT’s cross-border team represents the Barinboim Group, an Israel-based private investment company, which has led a consortium of investors through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) that signed an agreement to acquire Finalto, Playtech’s financial trading division.
The acquisition, recently reported by different media outlets, is valued at $210 million. In addition to Barinboim, the SPV is backed by Leumi Partners and Menora Mivtachim Insurance.
Leading GT’s team are London Corporate and M&A Shareholder, Gary Cooper; and Tel Aviv IP & Technology Shareholder, Adam Snukal. Additional GT attorneys playing a key role in this transaction are Corporate and M&A Senior Associate Emma Bosworth, and Corporate Associate Miles Daly. Serving as co-counsel for the Barinboim Group and the SPV is Israeli law firm FWMK. This transaction is yet another example of the uniquely strong and seamless bridge that connects GT Tel Aviv with GT London, particularly for clients of GT in Israel that are engaging in large and sophisticated corporate transactions in the UK market.
