Greenberg Traurig was pleased to play a key role in the recent Israeli Digital Health Summit in Philadelphia. GT hosted a reception for the Israeli companies, investors and other guests and conducted a workshop for the Israeli companies. David Gitlin, a corporate shareholder and co-lead of the Emerging Tech Group, provided guidance on the investment process, including important factors to consider when conducting term sheet negotiations. Mark Mattioli, a shareholder in GT’s healthcare group, discussed HIPAA compliance and other privacy and security matters that digital health companies should take into account as they develop their products and services. Beth Cohen, GT’s Director of Global Emerging Growth Services, helped with the conference planning and introductions between the companies and potential partners.
Philadelphia is a leading US center for digital health. The Conference afforded the Israeli companies the opportunity to meet hospitals, health systems, healthcare insurers, pharmaceutical companies, universities and others in the healthcare ecosystem with the goal of helping the Israeli companies further their entry into the US market. The companies are in the process of conducting following up discussions with local partners.
