shutterstock_91333874According to a report by Nishlis Legal Marketing that was published in the American Lawyer’s Global M&A Guide 2015, the year 2014 was a lucrative year for Israeli M&A, with transactions totaling approximately $10.7 billion. This number is expected to rise as the number of Israeli technology and biomed companies, both attractive investments for foreign and domestic acquirers, continues to rise each year.

On April 21, Joey Shabot, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Tel Aviv office, presented a webinar titled “Doing M&A Deals in Israel.”  Joey discussed  common transaction types and structures on cross-border U.S.-Israel deals; employment related matters; the importance of obtaining a transaction specific tax ruling from the Israeli Tax Authority; and the Offices of the Chief Scientist and its role in an M&A deal.

The recorded webinar is now available here. If you have any questions or comments on this webinar, please feel free to reach out directly to Joey at shabotj@gtlaw.com.
