Greenberg Traurig’s cross-border team represented Volvo AB (“Volvo”), the corporate investment arm of the Swedish luxury automobile marque, as part of its $3 million investment into Driivz Ltd. Driivz is an Israeli company offering smart EV charging management platforms. This represents Volvo’s third investment into an Israeli company since 2019. The two prior transactions included a Series B investment into Upstream Security, a provider of cloud based cybersecurity to the automotive industry; and the client’s investment into Next Gear Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund that invests in the smart mobility space. Representing Volvo on their Israel-related transactions are Tel Aviv Managing Shareholder Joey Shabot and Tel Aviv Corporate Attorneys Aaron Katz and Ephraim Schmeidler.
