Last month, GT and the established U.S. real estate brokerage firm, HFF, hosted a breakfast at the Dan Tel-Aviv hotel. More than 40 participants from across the Israeli real estate investor community attended the event including representatives of Israel’s largest insurance companies, pension funds, and real estate funds.  The event was organized by Lawrence Sternthal, who joined Greenberg Traurig last month as head of the Israel office’s real estate department.

HFF presented the 2016 Real Estate Capital Market Outlook which was delivered by Jeff Bramson, managing director of HFF’s Chicago office. Jeff’s presentation highlighted the trends and fundamentals that are shaping the U.S. commercial real estate market in 2016. Eric Anton, managing director of HFF’s New York office and Mark Wintner, managing director of HFF’s Los Angeles office, offered their insight on the strong New York City and Los Angeles real estate markets. HFF shared a generally positive outlook and projected strong transaction activity in the second half of 2016.

The HFF breakfast is the first in a series of real estate events that GT will be organizing for the Israeli real estate investor community. Over the next few months, GT will host a number of U.S. real estate developers who will be visiting Israel to meet with GT’s Israeli institutional investor clients.  Additionally, GT will be hosting Israel’s first-ever conference on European Real Estate which will be attended by major European developers and lenders and by members of GT’s Warsaw, Amsterdam, Berlin, and London real estate teams.
